The BBA is the governing body for the sport in the Kingdom. It has grown over time to become more involved in various aspects of the game, eventually playing a major role in transforming basketball into one of the most popular sports in the Kingdom. The Association’s objective is not just to encourage basketball players within Bahrain, but to also promote our basketball talents to the rest of the world. The sport has recently broken new records of attendance that are unmatched throughout the history of the game in Bahrain.
Bahrain’s basketball is considered by many to be the highest quality among GCC countries today, and Gulf Sports Expo is happy to introduce the best and latest in the world of basketball to Bahrain.
HE Hisham Al-Jowder, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, said: “It is a source of pride to be a part of what will undoubtedly be one of the defining events of Bahrain’s sports culture. The role of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs is to enrich and enhance the sports environment in the Kingdom, and the Gulf Sports Expo will be a key factor in achieving that goal by bringing a fresh dynamic to Bahrain that unites brands, athletes, and organisations within a single and unique platform. The exhibition will not only present the latest in the world of sports, but will also encourage the mutually beneficial exchange of ideas, and create a new prominent event in the region.”
“This marks the beginning of a major sports industry event in Bahrain’s calendar,” said Assistant Under-Secretary for Sports Affairs and Facilities, Khalid Saleem Al Haj. “Our aim is for this event to expand to become a pan-GCC expo, attracting interest from across the region.”
The Gulf Sports Expo team would like to thank the Ministry for its crucial role in creating the event, and for the guidance and assistance it has provided, and will continue to provide, as we go forward.
HANO Chairman Fawaz Baqer thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his patronage of the event and HE the Minister, Hisham Al-Jowder for his personal involvement and support.
“I am also grateful to my partner and team member Fadhel Mirza for coming up with many of the ideas that are now being put into effect, and also to Miracle Graphics for their involvement in creating the expo’s brand identity, and Pico for its event management support,” said Mr. Baqer.
Founded in 2008, HANO is an events management company that organises events in a wide range of fields. Combining its local and regional knowledge of markets, products, and exhibitions with its vast network of contacts and suppliers, it expertly designs events in a way that serves as an effective marketing strategy for its clientele.
Gulf Sports Expo appointed Miracle Branding as the brand consultant, passing onto it the task of designing the event’s colorful logo.
Commenting on the brand creation process, Senior Account Executive Ashwin George said: The logo of the Gulf Sports Expo evokes the spirit of sportsmen and women. Shaped like a running athlete, it combines artistic and inspirational elements by incorporating instances of the letter ‘G’, which stands for Gulf, at various positions and angles, with colours that signify the diversity and inclusiveness of the exhibition.
In addition to the brand logo, all advertising materials and collaterals have followed the same brand look and feel.
